IF DESIGN AWARD" presented to compact MICRO PLC controller from Yaskawa - Big performance for such a small controller
12. March 2018
Yaskawa's MICRO PLC machine control system, first introduced in 2016, boasts extremely compact dimensions and easy handling throughout. These properties also have an impact on the design of the case, which is both functional and elegant. A completely redesigned display and operating concept enables the user to oversee the essential status information of the overall system at a glance. For this purpose, display and control elements were deliberately focused on the essential and practical information. With a width of just under 72 millimeters, the MICRO PLC is more than 50 percent smaller than comparable controllers. Therefore, the controller requires little space in the switching cabinet.
At the same time, the compact controller demonstrates exceptional performance. SPEED7 technology ensures maximum clock rates and rapid program execution. This allows the MICRO PLC to carry out processes quickly, e.g. for precise positioning and a variety of control tasks. The fast backplane bus transmission of 48 Mbit/s also offers further advantages in terms of speed. This makes the MICRO PLC one of the fastest micro controllers currently available in the controller market.
